Food & Drink In Dalyan

Dalyan has a wealth of quality restaurants, cafes and bars. In keeping with the spirit of the town, all welcome you to a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. There is a reasonable range of worldwide cuisines available, including very inexpensive local Turkish options.

In the interests of full disclosure, Villa Claddagh has no connection to any of the establishments listed on this page. They are simply our favourites in Dalyan. Remember, these are just suggestions and we’d encourage our guests to explore and make up your own minds. We’d also be interested in hearing from you about your personal favourites.

Dinner In Dalyan

Lime Restaurant

Lime Restaurant

Lime is a relatively new restaurant and it shows with its very modern, spacious interior. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, but the quality of the food is what really sets it apart from many of the others. The standard in Dalyan is very high but Lime takes it a notch higher. Its signature dishes are steak and sea food.

Ramazan Han Restaurant

Ramazan Han Restaurant

Ramazans is just behind the main square on Maraş Cadessi. The restaurant offers the usual choices of steak and sea food but it also has a nice selection of Italian cuisine, and they do a mean chicken curry. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The ladies tend to like Ramazans because, to quote them, “Ramazan is very easy on the eye”! I’d highly recommend his Chiken Tika Masala.

Spice Garden

Spice Garden

The Spice Garden is an Indian restaurant that opened in 2018. It is located down a little side street beside the Askin bar (Maras Cadesi). If you’re a fan of Indian food then this is unquestionably the best in Dalyan. The staff are very friendly and will attend to any issues quickly and without fuss.

The River Terrace

The River Terrace

The River Terrace, as its name implies is situated beside the river on Gulpinar Cadesi. It’s just beside the Palmyra Hotel. It’s run by Ali who used to work at the Four Season’s, and his wife Sarah. The food is very good and the staff are all very friendly. As you can imagine the views are superb.

Hanedan Steak House

Hanedan Steak House

The Hanedan Streak House is on Maraş Cadessi, near the school. They have a wide range of choices available and the quality of the food is fantastic. Hanedan is also highly recommended for breakfast, especially if you’re craving a big fry up. The staff are very friendly and unlike some other hosts in Dalyan they actually do remember you, when you go back. A little more pricey than most but worth it for the quality.

Chef Steak House

Chef Steak House

Chef Steak House is located on Gülpinar Cadessi, very close to where the market used to be. It’s very close to the main square in Dalyan. As the name would suggest, their speciality is steak but they also have a wide range of dishes to suit most tastes. Their Chicken Bombay is particularly good. Chef was also quite popular for lunch when the old market was running but maybe not so much now.

Ali's Restaurant

Ali's Restaurant

Ali’s restaurant is located at the entrance to the square as you go down Maras Cadesi. The menu is pretty extensive but the quality is excellent.

Breakfast & Lunch In Dalyan

Bistro Blue Restaurant

Bistro Blue Restaurant

Bistro Blue is one of a number of restaurants that sit right on the main square. It’s located at the end of the row, closest to the turtle statue. It’s a very good choice for lunch but where it really excels is its breakfast menu. As well as the usual continental and cooked breakfast options it has a great choice of pancakes and French toast. The cinnamon French toast dish comes with an abundance of fruit and is delicious. It’s well worth a visit before the market on Saturdays.

Jiks Restaurant

Jiks Restaurant

Jiks is on Attaturk Bulvari, just up from the turtle statue, and very close to the market. Jiks is cheap and cheerful with a great garden out the back where everyone can relax whilst eating their lunch. I’d stay clear of the burgers and chips, and stick with pizzas and pasta dishes.

Cagri Pide & Pizza Restaurant

Cagri Pide & Pizza Restaurant

Cagri Pide & Pizza is on Pazaryeri Sokak, right across from the main square at the entrance to the old market. It’s a traditional Turkish place that also serves pizzas and other European dishes. The Turkish food is very cheap and very good. The pizzas are probably the best in Dalyan and are some of the cheapest (a good lunch combination!).

Diyar Paradise

Diyar Paradise

Diyar Paradise is also very close to Villa Claddagh at the top end of Maraş Cadessi. They have a good range of options for lunch and the food is really good. In my opinion they do the best tasting and best value English breakfast in Dalyan.

Dalyan Cafes

Sarah's Tea Room

Sarah's Tea Room

Sarah’s Tea Room is the perfect place for afternoon tea and cake. The menu is more extensive than that, with a variety of light meals, but cake is the speciality. Sarah also makes cakes and cupcakes to take away, if you have a birthday or other special occiasion whilst in Dalyan. The tea room is just before the Migros supermarket, tucked away at the back of the little square.

Cafe Dalyano

Cafe Dalyano

Cafe Dalyano is by far our favourite coffee shop in Dalyan. It’s not just a coffee shop though as you can also get a good range of, beers, wine and cocktails. During the day and early evening it’s so relaxing to sit here and have a coffee and pastry, whilst watching the world go by. Try it, you won’t regret it!

Cafe Yummy

Cafe Yummy

Café Yummy is on Gulpinar Sokak, just opposite the Jazz Bar. It’s got a great range of coffees and cakes. It also offers some more substantial snacks such as chicken, meatballs etc. The food is really fresh and of a high quality. The café looks out onto the river which makes for a pleasant setting.

Melek Anne Cafe

Melek Anne Cafe

We just discovered this little gem last year, and as it turns out it’s just around the corner from Villa Claddagh on Kaunos Sokak. The Melek Anne Cafe offers a minimalist (cheap and cheerful) breakfast and lunch menu but it’s very tasty and great value for money. It has the added bonus of overlooking the river at one of the most beautiful spots in Dalyan, with great views of the rock tombs. Give it a go for lunch, you won’t be disappointed!

Iz Cafe

Iz Cafe

Dalyan Iz Café is located on Ozalp Sokak just opposite the Junior Ozalp hotel. As well as having fantastic coffee and cake, it has a wonderful shaded garden and an art gallery. It’s well worth a visit and always gets great reviews.

Demet Pastanesi

Demet Pastanesi

Demet Pastanesi is a small coffee shop just up from the post office on Maraş Cadessi. It’s easy to miss but their cakes are so good that it would be a real shame not to visit. There are a few seats outside on the street and it’s a great place to relax and watch Dalyan life meander past.

Dalyan Bars

Rehab Bar

Rehab Bar

The Rehab Bar is the most relaxing bar in Dalyan.  It has a pool table and darts board for the kids (and adults) and plenty of seating away from both, if you just want to relax with a drink and watch the world go by. The other thing we love above Rehab is that Tayfur the owner will never come out on to the street pushing you to come in. A refreshing change in Dalyan where some of the restaurants and bars can be a little over enthusiastic!. The bar has a large TV which is really good for watching sports. Rehab is in Maras near the mini roundabout, beside the Sevikoglu supermarket and the taxi stand.

Efe Bar

Efe Bar

Another great bar for chilling out, and very central. The Efe Bar is situated just behind the main square on the lower part of Maraş Cadessi. It’s a family run bar and the staff are very friendly. The atmosphere is always first class. It’s also right across the street from Ramazan’s restaurant so it’s perfect for pre and post dinner drinks.

Sofra Bar

Sofra Bar

Sofra Bar is probably the most popular bar in Dalyan. They have a great range of cocktails. In the evenings you’ll need to get there early to get a seat. It’s not suitable for kids. It’s situated near the main square just down from the post office.

Jazz Bar

Jazz Bar

The Jazz Bar is the best adults bar in Dalyan. It serves a wide range of beers, wines and cocktails. It is a little pricier than some of the other bars but they do have live music almost every night, and it’s a very relaxed atmosphere. If you’re in Dalyan without young kids (or you can leave them with someone else!) then this is the place to go.

Captain's Bar

Captain's Bar

Captains bar is on the main drag, Maraş Cadessi, just up from the post office on the opposite side of the road. It’s the best sports bar in Dalyan. Big TVs and well positioned. The staff come down and take your order so you can carry on watching your favourite sports. You can also get snacks. The best feature of the Captain’s bar though is their ice cold draft Efes. You wont find colder beer in Dalyan!

The Rum Bar

The Rum Bar

The Rum Bar opened in 2018 and it has built up a loyal following ever since. Great cocktails accompanied by Reggae music, makes for a great combination. It’s a very relaxing setting along the river close to the Tezcan Hotel. The entrance is quite small so it’s not instantly obvious, but don’t go past it as a world of fun awaits.

M & M Rock Bar

M & M Rock Bar

The M & M Rock Bar is in the upper part of Maraş Cadessi. As the name suggests the main theme is rock music. They have live music most nights in the summer. It’s a great place for people watching and it’s also in a good location for pottering home to Villa Claddagh. It’s a little more expensive than most bars but the location and music makes it worth it.
